there is just something about black-and-white photography that still gets me at my core. when i first got into photography, what blew my mind most, was watching an image slowly appear from nothing in the darkroom (no, i am not that old, but yes, i am old enough). it was so exciting to see something i created days earlier actually come to life in from my very eyes.
the void of colour really allows your eyes to draw to what really matters within the frame. albeit, it is not an ideal medium when photographing gorgeous floral bouquets, such as the one jessica of fleurish design studio, created for amy + joris' engagement session.
check back for the full session later.
